MUSIC
Having been involved in music from my earliest memories, I consider myself a musician as much as a clinician and scientist. My primary instrument is my voice. I enjoy singing in a variety of settings and styles, including classic choral ensembles, show choirs, jazz choirs, a cappella groups, early music ensembles, and musical theater productions. In college, I sang under the direction of Anton Armstrong in the St. Olaf Choir and took private voice lessons from Margaret Eaves-Smith, with a focus on developing my classical soprano voice. I have performed with numerous professional and semi-professional ensembles including: Elevare, Portara Ensemble, Sonus, and Taylor Festival Choir.
I am currently a substitute staff singer at the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, DC. I am also available as a soprano soloist or to sing in ensemble settings. Please reach out to inquire about my availability, I look forward to hearing from you.
I also play viola, violin, and piano. I have several years of private instruction on each instrument along with training in chamber ensembles and symphonic orchestras.
